Digital PCR for GMO testing, pathogen detection in the environment

From genetically modified organism (GMO) testing, to identifying food adulteration,  to analyzing SARS-Cov-2 in human wastewater samples, digital PCR can be used to precisely quantitate the levels of nucleic acids across food and environmental applications. 

Literature on applications of digital PCR continue to expand, reaching across the breadth of the environmental space with analysis on aquatic systems, microbial biodegration, plant nuclei genotyping, and population-level  pathogen detection, particularly because of digital PCR’s better tolerance to inhibitors.
