TATAA Biocenter is world’s largest organizer of hands-on training in molecular analyses and Europe’s leading provider of nucleic acid analysis services in compliance with ISO17025 standard. In 2007 TATAA Biocenter was the first company in Europe to provide digital PCR services to researchers and published in 2008 one of the first papers featuring an application of digital PCR on a high throughput platform (Nucleic Acids Research 36: 387, 2008). TATAA experts also coauthored the Guidelines for Minimum Information for Publication of Quantitative Digital PCR Experiments (Clinical Chemistry 59:6, 2013).
European Molecular Biology Laboratory
Founded in 1974, EMBL is Europe’s flagship laboratory for the life sciences – an intergovernmental organisation with more than 80 independent research groups covering the spectrum of molecular biology. It operates across six sites: Heidelberg, Barcelona, Hamburg, Grenoble, Rome, and EMBL-EBI Hinxton. EMBL was set up in order to promote molecular biology across Europe, and to create a center of excellence for Europe’s leading young molecular biologists. The multifaceted training programme of EMBL is world-renowned and makes the Laboratory a true meeting place for biologists in Europe.
Digital PCR @ Ghent University is a group of researchers (professors, postdocs, PhD students) combining their expertise from biomedical science and statistics to advance the development and dissemination of novel applications and methodology for digital PCR platforms.
They work on several digital PCR platforms including the Bio-Rad QX100, Bio-Rad QX200 and Stilla naica® System. Currently, researchers from four research groups are collaborating on digital PCR projects on different applications such as HIV, genetics or biostat.
Ecole de l’ADN
Since 1998, l’Ecole de l’ADN promotes genetic and biotechnology innovations. The particularity of l’Ecole de l’ADN lies in its know-how workshops to deliver scientific information comprehensible by everyone. To do so, the organization provides practical and theoretical program for students, teachers, and researchers using molecular biology and genetic techniques.
Thanks to the capacity of its team, l’Ecole de l’ADN can also develop training courses especially adapted to all professionals who want to improve their knowledge in genetic engineering.
